Service Magazine, SEPD0912, 29 October 2007, "A New Rotor Brake is Now Used on Reclaimer Mixers". Disregard this article. See the replacement article that follows.

Description of Change: An improved rotor brake is now used. The new rotor brake allows the brake pads to completely release preventing premature wear.

Adaptable To: The new 308-6405 Rotor Brake replaces 270-7211 Rotor Brake .

The new 308-6405 Rotor Brake is effective with the following Reclaimer Mixers:

  • RM-500 (S/N: ASW128,137,145,146,150,190)

The new 308-6405 Rotor Brake is adaptable to the following Reclaimer Mixers:

  • RM-500 (S/N: ASW1-127,129-136,138-144,147-149,151-189)

    (4) Hydraulic supply hose assembly

  1. Remove mounting bolts (3) from the rotor brake.

  1. Turn "rotor service switch" (2) to the OFF position. Turning "rotor service switch" (2) to the OFF position will relieve the hydraulic pressure on the rotor brake.

  1. Disconnect hydraulic supply hose assembly (4) from the rotor brake.

  1. Install rotor brake (1) and bolts (3). Attach hydraulic supply hose assembly (4) .

  1. Adjust the rotor brake. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, KEBU7524 for the correct procedure.

  1. Test the rotor brake for proper brake function.

  1. Install the rear belly plate on the machine.
