Description of Change: New hoses are now used in the power train oil lines group. The new hoses will better handle the conditions in the field.

Adaptable To: The new 316-8153 Hose As replaces the former 307-9339 Hose As and the former 307-9340 Tube As in the 269-9199 Power Train Oil Lines Gp. The new 316-8154 Hose As replaces the former 307-9338 Hose As in the 269-9199 Power Train Oil Lines Gp. The new 148-8347 Elbow As replaces the former 153-6237 Elbow As in the 269-9199 Power Train Oil Lines Gp.

All of the new parts are adaptable back to the beginning of production of the listed machines. The new parts became effective in production with the machineBZZ128-UP and RLB320-UP.

Use the following procedure in order to update earlier machines with the new parts.

NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "AVSpare Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on AVSpare products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.


  1. Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move away from any machines that are working and any personnel.

  1. Move the transmission control to the PARK position. Fully raise the dump body of the truck.

  1. Activate the parking brakes. Stop the engine.

  1. Permit only one operator on the machine. Either keep other personnel away from the machine, or keep other personnel in the sight of the operator.

  1. Place blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.

  1. Install the retaining pins for the dump body.

  1. Make sure that the transmission rotary selector spool is in the PARK position.

  1. Make sure that all oil pressure is released before any fittings, hoses or components are worked on.

  1. Remove 307-9339 Hose As (A) and 6V-2235 Clip (B) .

  1. Remove 307-9340 Tube As (C).

  1. Remove 307-9338 Hose As (D) and the 6V-9746 O-Ring Seal from the lockup clutch and solenoid valve. Discard the O-ring seal.

    Remove the 153-6237 Elbow As (E), the 6G-2168 Block and the 1P-3704 Rectangular Seal. Discard the rectangular seal, elbow assembly (E) and hose assembly (D). Save the 6G-2168 Block .

  1. Rotate test port (F) upward in order to be accessed through the access hole on the top of 238-1034 Guard (G) .

  1. Install two O-ring seals (4) to hose (17) .

    By using four bolts (14), four washers (12) and two half flanges (2) attach one end of hose (17) to the filter.

    Install O-ring seal (3) and one O-ring seal (9) to elbow (8). Install the assembly to the 6G-2168 Block that was removed in Step 11. Install rectangular seal (1) to the block.

    By using the four bolts (11), four washers (15) and two half flanges (2), install the 6G-2168 Block and the other end of the hose to the transmission case.

  1. By using bolt (13), attach clip (5), clip (6) and grommet (7) to the boss on the frame.

  1. Install one O-ring seal (9) to the lockup clutch and solenoid valve. Attach one end of hose (18) to elbow (8). Attach the second end of hose (18) to the lockup clutch and solenoid valve.

  1. By using two tie straps (10), install mount (16) to the wiring harness.
