Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to cylinder (1). The weight of cylinder (1) is approximately 91 kg (200 lb). Remove bolts (2). Position cylinder (1) against frame (3).

  2. Attach a suitable lifting device to arm assembly (4). The weight of arm assembly is approximately 181 kg (400 lb).

  3. Remove bolts (5) and lock (6).

  4. Remove bolts (7) and lock (8).

  5. Remove pin (9) and pin (10). Remove arm assembly (4).

    Note: Note the placement of the washers.

  6. Remove bolts (11) and retainer (12).

  7. Remove seal (13) and shims (14).

  8. Partially remove yoke (15) from arm assembly (4).

  9. Remove washers (16). Use two people to remove yoke (15) from arm assembly (4). The weight of arm assembly (4) is approximately 30 kg (65 lb).

  10. Remove washers (17) and seals (18) from yoke (15).

  11. Remove two bearings (19).

  12. Remove lip seals (20).

  13. Install Tooling (A) and support Tooling (A) with a suitable lifting device. Remove bearings (21).
