Installation Procedure

1. Position gear (3) with Tooling (D). The weight of gear (3) is approximately 41 kg (90 lb).

2. Apply Tooling (E) onto bolts (4). Position retainers (5). Install bolts (4). Remove Tooling (D) and install O-ring seal (6) .

3. Install Tooling (A) and attach Tooling (C) to final drive (2). The weight of final drive (2) is approximately 118 kg (260 lb). Position final drive (2) onto Tooling (A). Remove Tooling (C) .

4. Install bolts (1). Remove Tooling (A) and replace Tooling (A) with remaining bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 460 ± 60 N·m (339 ± 44 lb ft).

End By:

1. Install the axle shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle Shaft - Install".
2. Remove the pins and lower the body. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pin (Body Retaining) - Remove and Install".
