1.1. Installation Procedure

Installation Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


Note: Check the O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

  1. Install O-ring seal (18) and O-ring seal (17).

  2. Attach a suitable lifting device to gear pump (16). The weight of gear pump (16) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb). Use the suitable lifting device in order to position gear pump (16) to the machine. Install bolts (15). Tighten bolts (15) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft).

  3. Connect tube assembly (14).

  4. Position screen assembly (10) and install three bolts (11) (not shown). Tighten bolts (11) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft).

  5. Connect hose assembly (13) and hose assembly (12).

  6. Position bracket (8) and install bolt (9).

  7. Reposition bracket (8) and install bolt (7).

  8. Position valve (6) and install nut (3).

  9. Position valve (4) and install nut (5).

  10. Connect hose assembly (2) and connect hose assembly (1).

  11. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (DEAC) - Change" or Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Extended Life Coolant - Change" for the proper filling procedure.

End By:

  1. Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
