  1. Establish a 30.5 m (100 ft) straight speed test course. Make sure that the course provides sufficient distance for the machine in order to reach full speed before the machine passes the starting line. Also, there should be sufficient distance for the machine in order to be stopped after the finish line is passed. The course should have no slope.

  1. Drive the machine to the test area.

  1. Move parking brake switch (2) to the OFF position.

  1. Backup the machine in order to allow the machine to reach full speed before the machine reaches the starting line.

  1. Time the machine through the 30.5 m (100 ft) course. Acceptable travel time is 9.75 ± 1 seconds.

  1. Repeat the test in reverse. The forward and reverse times should be within 1 second of each other.

  1. Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

  1. Move propulsion lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.

  1. Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
