Combination Valve

(2) High/low gear valve. (3) Four/eight wheel drive valve.

High/low gear valve (2) and four/eight wheel drive valve (3) are part of combination valve (1). Four/eight wheel drive valve (3) controls the all wheel drive disengage function. High/low gear valve (2) controls the selection of the gear inside the transmission gearbox. Pressure reducing valve (4) controls the pressure to both valves.

The IQAN uses high/low gear valve (2) in order to direct oil pressure to either hydraulic port (6) or hydraulic port (7) in order to shift the gears. When the operator makes a speed selection, the IQAN will activate high/low gear valve (2). High/low gear valve (2) will shift in the appropriate direction in order to direct hydraulic fluid to the correct pressure port.

Four/eight wheel drive valve (3) is controlled by the operator. The four/eight wheel drive valve (3) directs oil pressure to the pressure port that is located on the rear housing of the transmission gearbox. The rear output shaft is normally held in the engaged position by spring force. When pressure is applied to this port, the rear output shaft of the transmission gearbox will be disengaged.
