Right Console (1) Drum offset left button (2) Drum offset right button |
The propel joystick is on the right console. The drum offset control buttons are integrated into the propel joystick.
Drum offset left button (1) and drum offset right button (2) are momentary. Each time the operator presses a drum offset button, an input signal is sent to the machine ECM through the CAN. The ECM compares these operator inputs to the signals from the steering angle position sensor and the offset angle position sensor to control the solenoids on the offset control valve and the steering control valve.
When either of the drum offset buttons are pressed, the machine ECM directs an output signal to the appropriate drum offset solenoid and the appropriate steering control solenoid. The offset cylinder and steering cylinder extend or retract to control the drum offset while also maintaining the current steering angle.
When both of the drum offset buttons are pressed together and held for 500 ms, the ECM initiates the drum auto center cycle. The drum position will return to zero offset. If any drum button is pressed during the auto center cycle, the drum auto center cycle will stop.
Note: The propel lever direction determines the direction of the offset drum control. For additional information about the propel lever, refer to the Propel System section of this manual.
Note: The steering wheel, and the 360-degree seat direction determines the direction of the offset drum control. For additional information about the steering wheel and the 360-degree seat, refer to theSteering System section of this manual.

Operator Display (3) Operator display (4) Steering indicator |
Operator display (3) is on the right console.
Operator display (3) shows the current offset amount in percent, mm, or inches. Steering indicator (4), on the right side of the display, shows the steering angle and direction.
Note: Steering indicator (4) is only present on machines with the offset option.
The drum offset speed can also be adjusted through the display. Three speed settings are available in the "Drum Offset Speed" selection submenu.

Left Console (5) Drum auto center button |
Drum auto center button (5) is on the left console. The drum auto center function returns the drum to zero offset.
When drum auto center button (5) is pressed, the ECM initiates the drum auto center cycle. The drum position will return to zero offset. If any drum button is pressed during the auto center cycle, the drum auto center cycle will stop.

Articulation Area (6) Rear position sensor |
Rear position sensor (6) is at the rear of the articulation area, near the rear of the steering cylinder. A cover plate (removed) provides access to this component.
Rear position sensor (6) monitors the angle of articulation of the rear hitch and sends this information to the machine ECM. The machine ECM uses this information to determine the offset between the front and rear drums of the machine.

Articulation Area (7) Front position sensor |
Front position sensor (7) is at the front end of the articulation area, on top of the steering pivot point. A cover must be removed to access this component.
Front position sensor (7) monitors the angle of articulation of the machine frame and sends this information to the machine ECM. The machine ECM uses this information to determine the turning radius and the offset angle of the machine.
Note: For additional information about components and controls of the steering system, refer to the Steering System section of this manual.
