Problem
This issue is an internal found defect and first found on the field follow machines on certain 140GC Motor Graders. Interference can be found between the inner side of bracket and the elbow adapter on the side shift cylinder. Interference can cause paint to peeled off and obvious friction can be found on the adapter. This solution is making effort to eliminate the risk of leaking.

Machine Preparation
- Drive the machine onto a smooth level surface that can support the weight of the machine.
- Activate the parking brake , lower all the work tools on the ground. Turn off the key switch.

Rework Procedure
- Remove the cotter pin (A) and pin (B).
