CP-563E (S/N: CNT1-UP)
CS-563E (S/N: CNG1-UP)
CS-573E (S/N: CNN1-UP)
CS-583E (S/N: CNX1-UP)

Introduction

This Special Instruction provides information in order to install the Product Link System on the following machines: CP-563E, CS-563E, CS-573E and CS-583E. The Product Link System is a data communication system that transfers information from the machine to AVSpare, AVSpare Dealers and AVSpare customers. The unit contains a Global Positioning System, a transmitter and a receiver. The system is capable of two-way communication between the machine and a remote user (the dealer or customer).

The 209-6416 Communication Electronic Control Module and the 209-6417 Communication Electronic Control Module are compatible with the following machines: CP-563E, CS-563E, CS-573E and CS-583E. Installation for the Product Link System at the factory is not available. The proper electrical harness is installed at the factory. The dealer must install the remainder of the system.

Locate the main electrical harness for the platform. The main electrical harness contains a 6-Pin connector (1) for the Product Link System. Refer to Illustrations 1 and 2 in order to locate the main electrical harness for the operator platform.

Connect the 222-7903 Harness to electrical connector (1) on the operator platform.

Note: A shock mounting kit is required in order to mount the Product Link System on the compactors. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7351, "Product Information Section, Shock Mounting Kit".

Install control module (2) under the operator seat on machines that are equipped with the ROPS/FOPS structure. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7351, "Operation Section, Installation". Refer to Illustration 3 for the mounting location.

Install control module (2) on the panel that is located behind the seat for machines that are equipped with a cab. Refer to Illustration 4 for the mounting location.

Install the antenna on the top of the ROPS/FOPS structure, or on the cab of the vibratory compactors. The 223-4298 Antenna As is a flexible antenna that is recommended for use in applications that consist of high vibration or low overhead obstructions. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7351, "Operation Section, Installation".
