Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "AVSpare Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on AVSpare products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

- Position one final drive so that oil level mark (1) is horizontal and drain plug (3) is at the bottom.
- Remove drain plug (3). Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.
- Inspect the drain plug seal. If the drain plug seal is damaged, install a new seal.
- Clean the drain plug and install the drain plug.
- Remove oil filler plug (2) .
- Fill the final drive with oil to the bottom of the filler plug opening. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the amount of oil.
See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" for the type of oil.
- Inspect the condition of the seal of the filler plug. If the plug seal is damaged, install a new seal.
- Repeat Step 1 to Step 7 in order to change the oil in the other final drive.
