The AccuGrade System generates warning messages in situations that require action by the user. The action ensures that the system continues to provide accurate guidance information. The warning messages are also written to the log file (LOG_<serial num>_<date>.txt). Table 1 lists the GPS status messages.

GPS Warning Messages     | |||
---|---|---|---|
GPS Status Message     | Problem     | Possible Cause     | Solution     |
"No GPS Receiver Data"     | There has been no GPS data coming from one or both GPS receivers for at least 1.5 seconds.     | A problem with a GPS receiver A cable fault A problem with a GPS receiver configuration     |
Check the cable, power, and connections. Check the physical condition of the GPS receivers. Turn off the display and then turn the display back on. If problems continue, contact your supervisor.     |
"Low Accuracy (Move)"     | The machine has not travelled far enough in its current direction to determine machine pitch and heading.     |     | Move the machine forward or backward at least 2 meters..     |
"Low Accuracy (GPS)"     | The AccuGrade System is receiving autonomous GPS positions from the receiver.     |     | Change your "GPS Accuracy Mode". Check the data radio and radio cable. Ask your supervisor to adjust the accuracy limits.     |
"V.Low Accuracy (GPS)"     | The AccuGrade System is receiving autonomous GPS positions from one or both GPS receivers.     |     | Check that the channel setting for the radio matches that of the base station. Check the cable for the data radio. Check the base station and any repeaters in the radio network.     |
"Old Position"     | A position is not being generated by the GPS receivers     |     | Use the "Diagnostics" menu in order to ensure that the GPS receiver is detected. Check the status indicators on the GPS receiver. Check the GPS receivers and cables.     |
"Invalid GPS Configuration"     | There is a problem with a GPS receiver configuration. The coordinate system may be missing from a GPS receiver configuration.     |     | Load a design into the display. Loading a design will send a valid GPS configuration file to the GPS receiver. If problems continue, contact your supervisor.     |
