Personal injury or death can result from a brake malfunction. Do not operate the machine if the brake was applied due to a malfunction of the brake system.

Correct any problem before attempting to operate the machine.


Manual Brake Release With Hand Pump

  1. In order to prevent the machine from moving, block the drum and block the tires securely.

  2. Open the engine compartment.

  3. Ensure that the propel lever is in the neutral position. If the propel lever is not in the neutral position the hand pump will not build pressure.

  4. Close needle valve (2). The setscrew in the knob of the needle valve must be released in order to close the needle valve.

  5. Remove pump handle (3) from above the hydraulic tank and insert the handle on pump (1).

  6. Pump the hand pump (1) until the pump (1) will no longer pump. Approximately five to seven full strokes of the pump will be required. The brakes are now released.

  7. In order to engage the brakes, open needle valve (2).

Manual Brake Release Without Hand Pump

  1. In order to prevent the machine from moving, block the drum and block the tires securely.

  2. Open the engine compartment.

  3. Remove the rubber plugs (4) that are located in the center of the propel motors. The rubber plugs (4) may be covered with paint. The propel motors are located on the front left and right rear drum supports.

  4. Remove the two square bars (5) that are located in front of the radiator by unscrewing the bolts.

  5. Bolt one of the bars that was removed in step 4 to each of the propel motors. Thread the bolt into the propel motor until the bolt stops.

  6. Tighten the nut on the bolt until there is tension on the nut.

  7. The brakes are now released. Reverse the procedure in order to engage the brakes.


NOTICE

Before you operate the machine remove the tooling and reinstall the original hardware.
