There are several specific safety messages on your machine. The exact location of the hazard and description of the hazard are reviewed in this section. Take the time in order to become familiar with these safety messages.

You must be able to read all safety messages. Clean the safety messages in order to read the words. Clean the safety messages in order to see the pictures. This safety message is located on the steering column.

Do Not Weld or Drill (2)

This safety message is located on the post for the Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS).

Structural damage, an overturn, modification, alteration, or improper repair can impair this structure's protection capability thereby voiding this certification. Do not weld on or drill holes in the structure. Consult a AVSpare dealer to determine this structure's limitations without voiding its certification.


Pressurized System (3)

This safety message is located in the engine compartment on top of the radiator.

------ WARNING! ------

Pressurized system: Hot coolant can cause serious burn. To open cap, stop engine, wait until radiator is cool. Then loosen cap slowly to relieve the pressure.


Battery (4)

This safety message is located in the engine compartment on the side of the hydraulic tank.

------ WARNING! ------

Explosion Hazard! Improper jumper cable connections can cause an explosion resulting in serious injury or death. Batteries may be located in separate compartments. When using jump start cables, always connect the positive (+) cable from the source to the positive (+) terminal of the battery that is connected to the starter solenoid. Connect the negative (−) cable from the source to the negative (−) terminal of the starter. If the machine is not equipped with a starter negative terminal, connect the negative (−) cable to the engine block. Follow the procedure in the Operation and Maintenance Manual.


Crush Hazard (5)

This safety message is located on the rear of the hood.

A crushing hazard exists between the front frame and rear frame when the machine is articulated. This can result in personal injury. Keep your feet inside the operator station.

Stay back a safe distance. No clearance for a person in this area when the machine turns. Severe injury or death from crushing could occur.

Connect the steering frame lock between the front and the rear frames before lifting, transporting, or servicing the machine in the articulation area. Disconnect the steering frame lock and secure the steering frame lock before resuming operation. Severe injury or death could occur.
